About Us
Wenzel LoneStar Meat Co. was founded in Hamilton, Texas on February
16, 2001, in the spirit of the tradition begun by Wenzel's father more
than 25 years earlier. Owned and operated by Kent and Carrie Wenzel,
LoneStar Meat Co. is based on the fundamental principal of processing
and retailing the finest quality meats and cheeses in Texas.
The company is an active member of the Texas Bison Association, the
Texas Association of Meat Processors, the American Association of
Meat Processors, the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, and the Texas
Department of Agriculture GoTexas program.
Kent is known statewide for his award-winning, hand-crafted meat
products. Three years in a row, Wenzel LoneStar Meat Co. has taken
home the Grand Champion award from the Texas Association of Meat
Processors Convention for Jalapeno/Cheese Beef Summer Sausage.
Two years in a row, the award for regular Beef Summer Sausage has
been given to Wenzel. Kent has also won awards over the years for his
fully-cooked, triple-smoked bacon, snack stix, beef jerky, breakfast
sausage, and jagerwurst, all of which is available from the store.
Wenzel LoneStar Meat Co. continues the family tradition of providing
the highest quality food at reasonable prices to its customers. We
hope to share our passion for quality with you and your family!
Our store hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. We are
open 7 days a week beginning in November for deer season. Come
see why we are different!
